Iranian Journal of Pediatric Dentistry

1. General Policy

The Iranian Journal of Pediatric Dentistry (IJPD) accepts original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere, are not under simultaneous consideration by another journal, and are submitted exclusively to IJPD. All submissions must comply with the journal’s ethical standards and formatting requirements.

Only one author should be designated as the corresponding author, responsible for all communications with the editorial office.

2. Article Types Accepted

IJPD welcomes submissions in the following categories:

• Original Research Articles 
•  Review Articles 
•  Case Reports 
•  Short Communications 
•  Clinical Techniques and Innovations 
•  Letters to the Editor

3. Formatting Requirements

Structure: 
All manuscripts must follow the IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).

References: 

• Use Vancouver style 
• Include DOI where available 
• Reference management tools like EndNote or Zotero are recommended

Figures and Tables: 

• Submit figures in high-resolution (300 dpi) JPEG or TIFF format 
• Tables must be editable and placed at the end of the manuscript 
• Each figure/table must have a clear legend

Language: 

• Manuscripts must be written in academic English 
• Language editing is recommended prior to submission

4. Ethics and Compliance

Required Approvals:

• Ethics Committee Approval for all studies involving human subjects 
• Informed Consent must be obtained and documented 
• Patient Confidentiality must be preserved (no identifying information)

Conflict of Interest: 
All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work.

Plagiarism Screening: 
All submissions are checked using iThenticate. Manuscripts with significant overlap will be rejected

5. Required Documents

Submissions must include:

• Cover Letter stating the article type and confirming originality 
• Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form 
• Author Contribution Statement 

6. Submission Portal
